2. About OurCreativeEdge (“OCE”)
OURCREATIVEEDGE LTD (“OurCreativeEdge”, “OCE”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a membership-based creative hub supporting experienced professionals with 25+ years working in theatre, film, television, radio, and related creative disciplines.
Our services include an online network, creative development activities, peer collaboration, and occasional in-person sessions or events.
3. Membership & Use of the Website (Terms & Conditions)
By accessing this website or becoming a member, you agree to use the site and services in a respectful and professional manner.
Members agree to:
Engage with others in a safe, inclusive, and professional way
Keep confidentiality of any creative ideas explored through OCE
Not post or share offensive, discriminatory, defamatory, or harmful content
Not misuse member information for unsolicited marketing or commercial purposes
OURCREATIVEEDGE LTD reserves the right to suspend or terminate access where these terms are breached or where behaviour undermines the integrity or safety of the community.
4. Membership Fees
Membership lasts for one year from the date you pay and does not renew automatically. We'll send you a reminder before it ends, and if you'd like to continue, you can simply renew.
The annual fee is paid in advance. Some events or sessions have a separate attendance fee. Any change to the membership fee will only apply when you next renew.
You can cancel within 14 days of paying (including when you renew) for a refund, minus a proportionate amount for any time you've already used. Just email info@ourcreativeedge.com. After that, fees are non-refundable.
If your membership is ended because you've broken these terms, no refund will be given.

5. Intellectual Property and Confidentiality
Intellectual Property
All content on this website, excluding member-generated content, is owned by or licensed to OURCREATIVEEDGE LTD.
Members retain full ownership of their own creative work. By sharing work within the OCE community, members grant permission for it to be viewed and, discussed, and developed with other members within the network.
Members should only share material that they own or that they have permission to share.
No content may be copied, developed or used or used commercially without permission from the project’s owner.
Where members choose to develop work together, we strongly encourage them to agree in writing beforehand who owns what, and how credits and any income will be shared.
Where members develop work together with OURCREATIVEEDGE LTD, we will provide agreements to cover the relationship between us.
Confidentiality
By being part of our community, members must, and agree to, keep confidential any creative ideas, work and material shared by other members through OCE (whether online or in person) and any personal or professional information shared in sessions. Please don't use or pass these on without the owner's agreement. This doesn't apply to anything that is already in the public domain, anything you already knew and knew wasn’t confidential, or anything you develop independently.
Please don't record, screenshot or forward any session or shared material without the agreement of those involved. If a member asks you to return or delete material they've shared with you, please do so. If you bring a guest to an OCE session or event, please make sure they know about and follow these confidentiality expectations. These commitments continue after your membership ends.
OCE may suspend or end the membership of anyone who breaks these commitments.
OCE is built on trust and professional respect. However, ideas on their own are not protected by copyright in the UK, and confidentiality can be hard to prove where ideas are shared informally or in a group. If you want legal protection for a particular idea or project, the most reliable way is a written agreement with the members you're sharing it with, made before you share detailed material. We suggest sharing early-stage ideas at a level of detail you're comfortable with.
6. Events, Sessions & Physical Spaces
Participation in any online or in-person activity is voluntary. Members attend at their own discretion and responsibility. Some meetings and events require nominal attendance fees above the annual membership. Refreshments will not usually be provided unless we have been able to pre-arrange with a venue.
OURCREATIVEEDGE LTD is not responsible for any loss, injury, or damage except where caused by proven negligence.
7. Payments, Bursaries & Project Development
Costs, e.g.ie. Room rentals, equipment, expenses, etc, for members‘ projects must be covered by the member or members who own the IP of the project.
OurCreativeEdge encourages members to develop and grow their ideas and projects should the member wish to. OCE just asks for an acknowledgment in all further project credits.
As OCE grows and if projects progress towards production, OURCREATIVEEDGE LTD aims, where funding allows, to pay industry-recognised fees or bursaries should it be reasonable for OCE to be a continuing part of the project. Such payments are not guaranteed and will be subject to separate written agreements.
8. Limitation of Liability
OURCREATIVEEDGE LTD provides creative development and networking opportunities only and does not guarantee employment, funding, or production outcomes.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, OURCREATIVEEDGE LTD shall not be liable for indirect or consequential lossany loss or damage arising from the use of this website, or servicesour services or our activities. If we are ever found liable despite this, our total liability to you will not exceed the fee you have paid to OURCREATIVEEDGE LTD for the membership year in which the issue arose.
For clarity, the law does not allow us to exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for your legal rights as a consumer, including your right to have our services provided with reasonable care. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.
Any collaboration, agreement or dispute between members is a matter for those members alone. OURCREATIVEEDGE LTD is not responsible for the actions of members, including any use or misuse of another member's work or information, and is not able to get involved in resolving disputes between members.
9. Privacy Policy
OURCREATIVEEDGE LTD is committed to protecting your privacy and complies with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

We do not sell or trade personal data. We share personal data only with the service providers we use to run OurCreativeEdge, such as for payments, email and our website. Some of these may store data outside the UK.
You can ask us to stop sending you information about events and opportunities at any time.
9.3 Member Directory
If you choose to appear in the membership directory, your information will be visible only to paid-up members. You may update or remove your details at any time.
9.4 Data Security & Retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal data and retain it only for as long as is necessary. We will normally delete members’ details within 12 months of their membership ending, unless they ask to stay in touch.
9.5 Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal data, to object to how we use it and/or to receive a copy of it in a portable format. and to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Any views, opinions, or creative perspectives expressed by Tanya Franks in her capacity as founder, facilitator, speaker, or creative collaborator are shared in good faith and based on professional experience.
Except where required by law, Tanya Franks shall not be personally liable for any loss, damage, or claim arising from the use of this website or from participation in OURCREATIVEEDGE LTD services or activities.
